Main Reviews Summarize

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta presents a complex picture of pediatric mental health care with significant strengths in individual staff dedication but concerning systemic issues. The facility receives praise for specific compassionate staff members like therapist Amy, front desk personnel, and standout employees like Tameka Jones and Mr. Johnny, who demonstrate genuine care and connection with patients. Several parents reported positive experiences where their children felt respected and supported during their stay. However, the center faces substantial criticism regarding communication failures, with multiple reviews citing difficulty contacting staff, missed appointments without notification, and lack of updates about children’s progress. Serious concerns emerge about facility conditions including reports of lice outbreaks, pest issues, and allegations of inadequate provision of personal hygiene items. The admission process generates confusion, particularly around involuntary commitments and medication protocols. While some individual staff members provide exceptional care, systemic challenges in administration, communication, and facility management create inconsistent experiences that deeply concern many families seeking critical mental health support for their children.

FAQ

Why is it that the workers are so unprofessional, and they don’t know how to answer simple questions when asked? They never know anything when I call about certain things? You just need a professional staff.
Like you said a lot of staff nowadays are untrained, or are poorly trained because of how badly facilities need staff. They willing to take a lot of people who aren’t actually able to work in that department.
