West Seattle Thriftway

Category: Grocery store

Main Reviews Summarize

West Seattle Thriftway stands out as a beloved neighborhood grocery store praised for its exceptional service quality, well-stocked departments, and community-focused atmosphere. Customers consistently highlight the friendly, long-term staff who provide efficient checkout experiences with minimal waiting times. The store excels in its **deli department**, particularly noted for excellent sandwiches and prepared foods, along with a quality butcher section and unique specialty items not found in larger chain stores. However, reviews indicate significant concerns about **premium pricing** that many find excessive for everyday items, with some customers reporting occasional issues with meat and produce quality. While most staff receive high praise for their helpfulness, a few isolated complaints mention occasional rudeness in the deli department. The store’s strengths include its clean, organized layout, diverse selection of local and specialty products, and its role as a community hub with extended hours. Overall, West Seattle Thriftway delivers a superior shopping experience for those willing to pay premium prices for quality service and unique offerings, though budget-conscious shoppers may find better value elsewhere for basic groceries.

FAQ

I am disabled…without a car and live real close behind McDonalds in a condo. But for me to walk there on my walker makes it feel 100mi. Away. And not in very good shape RT now. Legs to weak and painful. Do you have any delivery of groceries??
I think the app Instacart lets you order groceries from Thriftway (they deliver). Good luck!
